A Bicentennial Journey Through Culture, Social Justice, and Wellness

Through interactive discussions, we’ll explore the benefits, challenges, and misconceptions about cannabis with community members and experts in the field.
Whether you’re curious about historical trends, the latest research, health and wellness, or policy implications, this event invites all to explore the complex and evolving world of cannabis.
Featuring: Dr. Erin Bonar, Dr. Chris Frank, AADL Archivist, and community resources.
The first MI-ACRE Innovation Session took place on October 17th at the RUB and via Zoom.
This hour-long session provided a unique opportunity for addiction clinicians and researchers to engage with one another and brainstorm innovative ideas.
The conversation centered around the need for new treatments for addiction and studying GLP-1s as an option, led by Dr. Allison Lin.

The Advancing Addiction Care in Michigan conference was held on Saturday, October 19th, hosted by MI-ACRE and the Michigan Society of Addiction Medication (MISAM).
120 attendees spent the day engaging with one another while gaining valuable insights from more than 20 expert speakers and panelists.
The sense of community and collaboration shown throughout the conference demonstrated our addiction community’s deep commitment to improving addiction care and supporting those in need!
